Arvest associates in Benton County, Ark., raised over $1,000 for the Northwest Arkansas Women’s Shelter. The associates who participated are part of a yearlong Arvest leadership class called EDGE which focuses on teamwork, leadership development, banking knowledge and community relations.

The Center for Non-Profits in Rogers, Ark., challenged the EDGE team to raise funds to purchase a television for the gathering room at the Northwest Arkansas Women's Shelter. In order to make this dream a reality, the EDGE members raised money by having associates donate money in exchange for wearing jeans on designated days. With the addition of some private donations, the associates raised over $1,000 which was used to purchase the TV, TV mount, blue ray player, and fresh groceries for the residents to enjoy.

Melanie Palmer, director of the Northwest Arkansas Women's Shelter, was excited and grateful for Arvest’s donations.
